Cybercrime Gamification
Cybercrime is any criminal activity in which computer technology is the tool or the target of the crime. Gamification is the process of applying elements of gameplay to other aspects of life. The Cybercrime Gamification Project (CGP) teaches learners how individuals and businesses can protect themselves from cybercrime through gamifying educational content.

Why Gamification?
One aspect of studying cybercrime is learning types of cybercrimes, how they are committed, and the criminological theories that explain them.
However, protecting individuals and businesses from cybercrime requires evidence-based and theoretically sound decision-making. It requires an ability to identify different types of cybercrime and make decisions based on this identification. Moreover, decisions made at one time, impact the decisions made at a future date. Video games can approximate this environment more than a traditional lecture format.
